The calculator is a genius invention and range way back to year 1623, but was first produced and sold in 1820. This was really old calculators that can’t compare with those that are on the market today

Most of them are super modern with several functions so that calculation gets easier. Andy Aaron is doing the opposite; he is making antique Victorian-era calculators by using switches, levers and cranks. The calculators, that Andy himself calls “Aaron Adding Machines”, cannot do it all, they only perform basic calculations.

These badboys cost about $5000 and more, because Aaron and his workers are only producing up to 3 calculators per each year. Some would say that it is expensive, but you can’t really but a price on antique objects. If you like antiques you should check out this Steampunk House made in Victorian style.

Turn your Desktop into a Windows Phone 7 lookalike

To give your Windows 7 desktop a Windows Phone 7 makeover, first you need to have the free Rainmeter application installed. If you do not have it installed, download it from the link below and run the setup. Accept the license agreement, and install it with the default settings.

By default Rainmeter will automatically run when you start your computer. If you do not want this, you can uncheck the box during the setup.

Google has rolled out yet another cool google lab feature on 15th november. Google has always been the first to roll out some unique features. Google swirl image search engine not only finds out similar images but it divides them into the group and sub-groups.

Basically Google swirl groups the images according to searched keywords. When you click on the image it will form a cluster of all images. The clustering is done based on the similarity of the images.

Swirl search engine is basically based on the technique called “Similar images” and “Picasa face recolonization” to which decides how to group the images in groups and hierarchies of the group.

I knew a lot of us here use Rapidshare to download and share a lot of stuff. It's quite annoying when we were unable to download for a certain period after downloading a big file. What are going to be shared to day is how to download from Rapidshare using proxy so that you won't have to face the 1 hour limitation problem again.

The programs that we need are a browser with ability to use proxy. I use Slimbrowser for two reasons:

1) I don't want to delete my Firefox or IE cache and cookies files.

2) It's very lite and not a resource hogger

Steps:

1. Download the browser from this location.http://slimbrowser.flashpeak.com/en/dlpage.php Install it.
2. Get a proxy list here.http://www.proxy4free.com/ .This trick requires the usage of proxy server to work. So don't skip this step. Grab one proxy or more!
3. This is how you are going to setup your proxy

:Click Tools > Proxies > Organize Proxies

- In the Name field, enter something to identify your proxy, for example, Brazil #1
- In the first address field, enter the proxy address you got from Proxy4Free,
for example, 200.162.195.62
- In the second address field, enter the proxy port, for example, 3128
- If you want to set the entered proxy as the default proxy, then click the
Set As Current Proxy button
- Click OK to close the dialog box

* If you want to add more proxies, repeat the steps above again and again.

4. After you have setup the proxy, copy and paste the Rapidshare download link to your
browsers’ address bar, and wait for the Rapidshare page to launch.

5. In Rapidshare website, do the followings:

- Press enter and scoll down to bottom and click the FREE button

- Wait until the counter reaches zero or use any auto-reveal-link-utility
- Copy paste the download link into your favorite download manager, for
example, Flashget
- Download the file happily

Troubleshooting

Note that if Rapidshare gives you error like this;

This IP is not allowed to use free anonymous services.. or Your IP, xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx is downloading a file…

It's time to use another proxy!!! In Slimbrowser, go to menu, Tools > Proxies and select another proxy you already entered before

6) After downloading a file, don’t forget to clear your trace!

In Slimbrowser go to menu Tools > Internet Options to open the Internet Options applet
Click both Delete Cookies and Delete Files button to wipe out all references to Rapidshare. If you need to download more files, repeat all steps from 1 to 6, and hopefully you’ll be happier than ever.

Adding Flip 3D to the Taskbar

As you already know, the new Windows taskbar lets you pin your frequently used applications to its interface for quick launching. Since Flip 3D is essentially just an application, the same can be done with it, too. Just follow these steps (courtesy of Windows7News):

1. Right-click on your desktop, select New, and then select Shortcut.

2. In the location field, type C:\Windows\System32\rundll32.exe dwmapi #105 (assuming that Windows is installed on C

3. Click Next, and then type Window Switcher for the shortcut name, then press Finish.

4. Right-click on the Window Switcher shortcut that you just created and then click on Properties.

5. Click on the Change Icon… button.

6. In the Look for icons in this file field type %SYSTEMROOT%\system32\imageres.dll, and then press Enter.

7. Select the first icon and then click on OK.

8. Click on OK to dismiss the properties dialog.

9. Drag the Window Switcher shortcut from your desktop onto the taskbar.

Tips & Tricks
1. Change the font size

While holding the control key, move the scroll wheel on your mouse either up or down. This trick works while being focused in either the read or write area.

2. Insert line breaks

If you want to have a message that spans multiple paragraphs, just hold shift and hit enter. You can add as many new lines as you want to create.

3. Bold Text

To write something bold, you can use an asterisk before and after the word. For Example *Hungry Hacker*

4. Italic Text

To use italics, use an underscore before and after the word. For Example _Hungry Hacker_

5. Switch windows

Hitting tab will cycle through open windows. It will select minimized conversations, to expand them just hit enter. If you just want to cycle through IM’s and don’t care about the buddy list, control-tab will do that and will automatically expand a minimized conversation if you settle on one.

6. Invitation Tips

You don’t need to say Yes or No when someone wants to add you as a friend; you can simply ignore it, the request will go away. (On the other hand, someone with whom you chat often will automatically turn to be your friend, unless you disable this in the options).

7. Show Hyperlinks

You can show your homepage or blog URL simply by entering it in your away message (at the top of the main window). It will automatically turn to a link visible to others.

Want to run Google Talk with multiple Gmail identities? If you have several Google Gmail accounts you also may want to run multiple instances of Google Talk This is especially important for families that share a single PC. Basically, to have “Google Polygamy” you need to run Google Talk with the following switch: /nomutex

Right-click on the desktop
Select New -> Shortcut
Paste the following into the Address box:
“C:\program files\google\google talk\googletalk.exe” /nomutex

Click Next and choose a shortcut name such as Google Talk1, Google Talk2, or something related to your Gmail account for easy remembering which account is which.

2. Use Google Talk via a Web Browser

3. Conference Calls

Open up a copy of Google Talk on all computers with which you wish to conference.
After one copy is opened make a new shortcut for Google Talk but at the end of it add /nomutex.
If you installed it to the default folder then your shortcut should read “C:\Program Files\Google\Google Talk\googletalk.exe” /nomutex.
Open 2nd instances of the software on every user’s computer.
After this start a chain: User 1 should connect on one instance to user 2. User 2 will connect on his second instance to user 3. User 3 will connect using his second instance back to user 1. With this chain everyone is connected to everyone.
4. Change Nickname

You can’t change your nickname in a way that other people will see it change. Every nickname in the Google Talk Contact List is the part that is before @gmail.com (only the alphabetical characters are used) or the name you chosen for your GMail account. To change the nickname you need to do the following:

Go to your Gmail account and change the name there.
Choose Settings, Accounts, and then Edit info. Click on the second radio button, and enter your custom name.
As a result all of your emails will have that nick as well, there is no way to seperate the two.
You can add a website in your custom message, it will be clickable when someone opens a conversation window with you.

5. Contacts

6. Play Music

It’s possible to broadcast music, MP3, etc. through Google Talk. Follow the steps given bellow:

Unplug your microphone.
Double click on the speaker icon in the lower right corner. This will open up “Volume Control”.
Select “Options” and then “Properties”. Then check the button next to “Recording” then click OK.
You may also have to change your setting under Mixer Device. Now the Recording Control screen should be up.
On my computer I selected “Wave Out Mix”. Click on the green phone in Google Talk and call your friend.

Registry Hacks
Before applying any of these Registry Tweaks follow the steps given below:

Backup your Registry
Start -> Run -> Regedit
Now Navigate to the following directory
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Google\Google Talk.

Make Changes based on the info given bellow.
Restart your PC for the changes to take effect.
The “Google/Google Talk” key has several sub-keys that hold different option values:

Accounts: This one has subkeys for each different account that has logged in on the client. These keys have different values that store the username, password and connection options.

Autoupdate: Stores the current version information. When the client checks for updates it compares Google’s response with these values. If an update is needed, it will download and update the new version.

Options: This is the most interesting part, where most of the current hacks should be used (keep reading).

Process: Stores the process ID. Probably used by Google Talk to detect if it’s already running or not.

If 1, shows a “pin” next to the minimize button that keeps the windows on top of all the other open windows when clicked.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Google\Google Talk\Options\away_inactive
If 1, status will be set as Away after the specified number of minutes.

If 1, status will be set as Away after the specified number of minutes.

Number of inactive minutes to become away if auto-away is on.

Was Einstein's Brain Different?

Of course it was-people's brains are as different as their faces. In his lifetime many wondered if there was anything especially different in Einstein's. He insisted that on his death his brain be made available for research. When Einstein died in 1955, pathologist Thomas Harvey quickly preserved the brain and made samples and sections. He reported that he could see nothing unusual. The variations were within the range of normal human variations. There the matter rested until 1999. Inspecting samples that Harvey had carefully preserved, Sandra F. Witelson and colleagues discovered that Einstein's brain lacked a particular small wrinkle (the parietal operculum) that most people have. Perhaps in compensation, other regions on each side were a bit enlarged-the inferior parietal lobes. These regions are known to have something to do with visual imagery and mathematical thinking. Thus Einstein was apparently better equipped than most people for a certain type of thinking. Yet others of his day were probably at least as well equipped-Henri Poincaré and David Hilbert, for example, were formidable visual and mathematical thinkers, both were on the trail of relativity, yet Einstein got far ahead of them. What he did with his brain depended on the nurturing of family and friends, a solid German and Swiss education, and his own bold personality.
A late bloomer: Even at the age of nine Einstein spoke hesitantly, and his parents feared that he was below average intelligence. Did he have a learning or personality disability (such as "Asperger's syndrome," a mild form of autism)? There is not enough historical evidence to say. Probably Albert was simply a thoughtful and somewhat shy child. If he had some difficulties in school, the problem was probably resistance to the authoritarian German teachers, perhaps compounded by the awkward situation of a Jewish boy in a Catholic school.

N.T. Rama Rao (1923 - 1995): A messiah of the masses

Coming from an ordinary peasant family in a remote village in Krishna district, he worked his way to the top with his hard work and strong determination to reach the goal, come what may. After making it big in the filmdom, he was deeply moved by the plight of the poor and gave a patient hearing to their problems, when they called on him at his residence in Madras. This had, perhaps, had an effect on his life several years later.

After his `shashtipoorthi' celebrations, he quit films and set up a political party to end the hegemony of the Congress Party in the State and usher in value-based politics.
That was Nandamuri Taraka. Rama Rao, the hero of the masses in his reel life, who later became their hero in real life by unseating the nearly century old and well-entrenched Congress, and forming the first ever non-Congress Government in the State.

NTR, as he was fondly called, launched the Telugu Desam Party in March 1982, and within a year - on January 5, 1983, to be precise - the fledgling party dealt a crushing blow to the Congress. He was successful in weaning the Telugus from their unflinching loyalty to Indira Gandhi. The wayward functioning of the Congress in the State and the Andhras' anger over the way the Chief Minister, T. Anjaiah, was insulted in public by Rajiv Gandhi, who was then only the AICC secretary-general, at the Hyderabad airport changed the mood of the public which started looking for an alternative to the Congress. NTR fulfilled that need by espousing the cause of `aarukotla Andhrula atma gauravam' (self-respect of six-crore Andhras).

Soon after taking over as Chief Minister, NTR kept many of his election promises, which many had then dismissed as populist and earned a place for himself in the heart of Telugus. After his advent, the Telugus elsewhere got their exclusive identity, breaking away from the original tag of `Madrasis'. While emphasising the importance of Telugu, he, however, held out the assurance that the TDP would also encourage and protect the languages and culture of people from other States.

He believed that only strong States could make a strong Centre. He convinced the then Prime Minister, Indira Gandhi, in this regard which made her change her earlier stance that strong States would mean a weak Centre, says S. Venkat Narayan in his biography of NTR.

Apart from introducing the cheap rice scheme of selling the grain at Rs.2 a kilogram for poor people with a monthly income of Rs.500 or less, he fought with the Centre to amend the Hindu Succession Act to ensure equal property rights to women. He introduced educational reforms and laid the foundation for the Telugu Ganga project to provide drinking water to Madras city apart from irrigating the dry lands of Rayalaseema.
Born in Nimmakuru, a small village in Gudivada taluk on May 28, 1923, NTR had his early education from a tutor, Valluru Subba Rao, in his native village.

His parents, Venkataramamma and Laxmaiah, gave him in adoption to the latter's brother, Ramaiah and his wife Chandramma, who were issueless. He studied up to Classs V in his village as there was no further education there, Ramaiah and his wife took their adopted son to Vijayawada and got him admitted into Class VI in the municipal school. He passed the matriculation examination in 1940 and joined the SRR and CVR College in Vijayawada. While doing his Intermediate course, he supplemented the family income by supplying milk to hotels in Vijayawada on his bicycle. At the end of the first year, the students decided to stage a play written by `Kavi Samrat' Viswanadha Satyanarayana, the well-known Telugu poet and writer and the head of the Telugu department of the college.

The play, `Rachamalluni Dautyam', had a strong heroine's character and girls did not take part in stage activities in those days. Satyanarayana ordered Rama Rao to don the robe of the heroine, and the latter took it up, though unwillingly.

That was his first role on the stage and it got him the first prize and also kindled his interest in histrionics. During the college anniversary celebrations the next year, he played the role of Salim in the play `Anarkali' and again bagged the first prize.
In May 1942, when he was 20, Rama Rao married Basava Tarakam, the daughter of his maternal uncle. The marriage came in the way of his studies and he failed twice in the Intermediate examination. Unable to stand the teasing by his friends, he made a determined effort and finally passed the examination.

He joined the Andhra Christian College at Guntur for the Bachelor of Arts course in 1945. He formed an amateur drama group, `National Art Theatre', with the help of his friends. The group used to stage plays to raise funds for noble causes. The first offer to join films came Rama Rao's way, when he was still in college. The famous Telugu director, C. Pullaiah, offered him a role in his film "Keelu Gurram". He, however, turned down the offer as he first wanted to complete his degree course.

A well-wisher introduced him to the established director, L.V. Prasad, who after a screen test in Madras, offered him a small role in his film `Mana Desam'. Rama Rao, who wanted to take up acting as a full-time career was looking for the role of a hero and rejected the offer.

In the meantime, he appeared for the Madras Service Commission examination for sub-registrar's post. Of the 1,100 candidates who took the test, seven were selected and he was one of them. He took up the job in October 1947 for a salary of Rs.120. On the very first day of reporting for duty, he was shocked to see the staff taking bribes and was disillusioned.

Luckily for him, B.A. Subba Rao, who was making his directorial debut, `Palleturi Pilla', saw Rama Rao's photograph in L.V. Prasad's album and decided that he was the right man for the hero's role in his film. He was offered Rs.1,116 for the hero's role and he accepted the offer and went back home after signing an agreement.

He resigned the sub-registrar's job, three weeks after he took it up and went back to Madras to launch himself in the screen career. He now accepted the role of a police sub- inspector in Prasad's Mana Desam, which was his first film.

He had an obsession for trying to be realistic in his films. In his first film as hero in `Palleturi Pilla', Rama Rao refused the services of a duplicate to do the risky bullfight scene, much against the wishes of the director. After some time, he lost grip on the noose and the enraged bull lifted him, swung him around and threw him to the ground. He suffered a wrist fracture and was hospitalised for several weeks. The bullfight contributed to the success of the film and it became a mega hit, running for 100 days at seven theatres in Andhra region.

It was the folklore, `Patala Bhairavi', which was the turning point in his career. The first godly role he played was that of Lord Krishna in `Maya Bazaar'. However, it was his role in `Sri Venkateswara Mahatyam', released in 1960, that gave him a new identity. The deification of Rama Rao began and his residence in Madras became a shrine for pilgrims, who would visit him after a trip to Tirupati. NTR fans used to wait in long queues outside his house for a darshan of their `living-god'. They used to apprise him of their problems back home in their villages and he listened to them patiently before rushing to the studio in the morning.

In all, he acted in 292 films in a career spanning 33 years between 1949 and 1982. Of these, 274 are in Telugu, 15 in Tamil and three in Hindi. This apart, several of his Telugu films were dubbed into Tamil.

After the death of Basava Tarakam, NTR, who had by then lost power, became a loner, and the entry into his household of Lakshmi Parvathi as his biographer, turned the situation leading to his marrying her in the ealrly1990s. This led to his estrangement with the family members. In 1994, he became Chief Minister again. The interference of Lakshmi Parvathi in political matters and his acquiescence in it distanced party legislators from him. Ultimately, his son-in-law, N. Chandrababu Naidu, became a rallying point for them, and the latter staged a silent coup and ousted NTR from power. Rama Rao felt heart-broken and made a vain attempt to get back the support of the MLAs. He went to the people who had voted him to power and demanded justice, but the people thought it was a family affair and ignored the issue.

He died on January 18 1995. The statue of this `man of the masses' has been installed on the Beach Road.

Here i am going to the secret that i got to know last night while making format. I found that we can bypass the 39 minute of time while we are installing windows xp.
after a long time i am making another post

We all know that after loading the file or copying the file from the boot disk to temporary space the system requires a first time reboot.

Now if we press shift+f10 then the task manager will open and there we will find that a process is running named setup.exe

now our task is to make the priority of this process maxm by right clicking on that.

We are done.

Find ur xp installed in 10 min with tolerance 2 min
